The position of Accounting Assistant - Bookkeeper is responsible for providing accounting support in a boutique CPA firm. The person in this position ensures accuracy of accounting information entered into Quickbooks and other accounting platforms and completes daily/weekly/monthly worksheets as required.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Entry of financial information in accounting software
- Preparation of journal entries (as required)
- Maintain client files organized, including scanning of necessary documents
- Produce accurate reports, such as Balance Sheets and Profit and Loss statements.
- Performing bank reconciliations
- Maintains spreadsheets for client accounts
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- 2-3 years experience with Quickbooks
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to review reports and work prepared for accuracy and errors
30-40 hours per week
Hourly compensation commensurate with experience
