Our client’s Enterprise Services is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Global Travel Accounting team. The selected individual will report to the manager of Travel Accounting and assist the Team with administering the Corporate travel program. The Accounting Assistant should have excellent people skills, organizational ability and a great deal of communication skills

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Process and audit expense reimbursements and credit card transactions for compliance to NG policies
• Utilize Concur, internal governing documents, and external guidance to perform research of expense reports
• Perform accounting activities such as payment reconciliations, general ledger account reconciliations, and ad hoc reporting
• Demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills to help resolve complex travel inquiries
• Monitor and work to departmental and individual processing metrics
• Clearly and professionally communicate related travel, accounting policies and procedures
• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
Basic Qualifications - must be measurable (Degrees/Certifications/Clearance/Years of experience):
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
• Bachelor's degree with 1 year professional experience or high school degree with 3 years’ professional experience
Basic Technical Qualifications:
• Knowledge and understanding of basic accounting principles; process analysis and evaluation; and strategies for gathering,
reviewing and analyzing data requirements and policy compliance
• Knowledge and experience with Concur Expense and SAP
• Proficiency using MS Suite Tools including Word and Excel
Basic Leadership Qualifications:
• Exercises high level of confidentiality
• Strong analytical, communication, and creative problem-solving skills
• Must show commitment to results, leadership, teamwork, and strong interpersonal/customer service skills
• Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity
• Desire to receive constructive feedback; work will be reviewed for soundness of judgment, adequacy & accuracy
• Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Demonstrate an understanding of travel and expense, imputed income, general ledger account reconciliations, and internal/external audits.
• Have an in-depth understanding of business processes, especially Northrop Grumman segments and work structures
