Job Overview
Join Thermo Fisher Scientific's Finance team and contribute to making informed decisions that drive our Mission and position as an industry leader.
Help develop an outstanding career experience and gain valuable perspectives in various finance functions. Support the Pharma Services Group (PSG) Business in Florence, SC.
Responsibilities
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, including journal entries, accruals, and report preparation.
• Perform Intercompany billings and netting transactions.
• Manage Accounts Payable (ATP, Auto-drafts, Invoices, Rejected Inbox) and Support the Global Business Services (GBS) team with any issues.
• Prepare and assist with yearly site budgets and monthly site forecasts.
• Analyze trends and deviations, identifying key factors driving variances between actual costs and budgeted/forecasted costs.
• Generate cost center reports using various programs such as SAP and Power BI.
• Perform monthly account reconciliations.
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reports.
• Assist with and provide data for internal/external audits.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in financial analysis and reporting within a large, matrixed organization.
• Analytical capabilities with proven financial modeling skills using MS Excel.
• Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to develop high levels of credibility and forge strong professional relationships with peers and senior management.
• Proven track record of optimizing processes and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects successfully.
• Self-motivated with a bias for action.
• Committed to continued learning and career progression.
• High level of integrity and ethics.
• Teamwork-oriented with a collaborative style.
