Large real estate development organization with entities throughout upstate New York is seeking a Junior-Level Staff Accountant to join its corporate team in Latham.

Job responsibilities include:
- Work with Senior Accountant to review monthly budgets and analyze variances of actual results
- Review vendor invoices for accuracy, verify contracts, code and prep for authorization
- Monitor A/P Aging, generate and assemble check runs to ensure timely payments
- Ensure W-9 compliance, prepare year-end 1099's
- Coordinate with Department Managers/Vendors to resolve discrepancies
- Verify G/L control accounts to subsidiary ledgers, perform account reconciliation
- Preparation and review of internal reports (MS Excel, Peachtree)
- Prepare monthly billings, ensure timely collections
- Daily retrieving, sorting and delivering of mail
- Bank reconciliations, as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or similar field
- 2 years of relevant experience will be considered in lieu of degree
- Computer skills in MS Excel, MSWord, MS Outlook
- Organized, team-orientated, self-motivated and comfortable in a fast paced environment
