Account Manager / Load Planner

Blue Sky Unlimited is looking for a Load Planner to become part of an excellent team. This is the perfect opportunity for an individual that has strong analytical and computer skills, strong attention to detail, enjoys working in a customer-focused environment and is self-motivated. This position works within a team environment and communicates with customers and team members daily concerning the coordination of freight movements.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Sell and Tender freight to third party carriers
• Update TMS with current shipment information
• Troubleshoot operational and exception issues
• Tracking visibility during the life cycle of the load
• Handle rate negotiations with carriers on a spot rate basis
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure appts are made for pick up and delivery, estimate times of arrival and departure, and recovering loads when necessary

• Computer skills within Excel and Outlook as well as the ability to learn other computer systems across different platforms
