- Prospect, meet and close both new and renewal corporate sponsorships
- Generate incremental sponsorship revenue to meet and exceed individual and team goals
- Provide dynamic, creative, and integrated partnership packages with a focus on digital and mobile sales
- Work with both VSP and Athletic Dept. staff on the fulfillment/execution of sponsorships, both at events and on digital platforms.
- Assist in managing the day-to-day operations of Villanova Sports Properties
- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.
- Uphold and support the team leading by example with a focus on a culture of hard work, creativity – always building on the “team first” credo
- Help develop and execute a sales plan to meet and/or exceed assigned annual revenue targets.
- Identify potential sponsors for Villanova Sports Properties through networking with Villanova stakeholders and business partners, researching local, regional, and national companies, and selling them marketing platforms that incorporate sponsorship inventory including entitlements, signage, digital assets, print, promotion, community involvement and hospitality.
- Develop compelling sales presentations for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of partner’s marketing goals.
- Manage the sales process from start to finish (create proposals; draft/negotiate contracts)
- Meet and exceed expectations with regards to contract fulfillment and execution.
- Assist in the management of digital activation, including social media and mobile app promotions.
- Provide assistance with various graphic design projects related to partner activation
- Successfully fulfill benefits per corporate partner agreements and develop solid working relationship between partners and Villanova Sports Properties.
- Obtain and manage all necessary proof of performance records.
- Manage administrative tasks related to day-to-day office operations.
- Work with the General Manager in creating, planning, and implementing Villanova Sports Properties and Playfly Sports Properties special events.
- Represent Villanova Sports Properties and Playfly Sports Properties in a professional manner.
- Research the sports sponsorship industry and stay current with relevant market trends and conditions.
- Entertain and cultivate sponsors in various settings.
- Be available to travel for client meetings and presentations.
- Understand and leverage Playfly resources such as Playfly Sports Properties, Playfly Media, Playfly Global Partnerships, Playfly Tech and Digital, etc. to leverage new business areas, leads, and categories.
- Supports and exhibits behavior consistent with the sales and service philosophy of Playfly Sports Properties.
- Acts with diplomacy as a representative of Playfly Sports Properties and Villanova Athletics.
- Creates a collaborative work environment with integrity, empathy, and innovation as true-north core values.
- Actively work on diversity, equity, and inclusion within the team.
- Set-up and take-down for events, to include moving objects up to 25 lbs.
- Flexible hours and work location (in-office or remote), dependent on weekly responsibilities. Minimum of two days in-office each week.
- Performs other related duties as required.
