The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting, identifying, qualifying, pursuing, and closing business with new clients and existing clients to convert them into long-term clients. In addition, the Account Executive will also serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned territory (greater Richmond area), market segment, and/or group of client accounts ensuring clients derive maximum value from our services to maximize customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth. The Account Executive is ultimately responsible for meeting and/or exceeding completed study goals for their assigned territory/MSA as set forth by their CRO/Regional Sales Manager with approval from Senior Management.
Responsibilities:
· Utilize your existing prospecting, qualifying, and executive relationship building skills to engage with new clients, identify business opportunities, and sign agreements with new clients. Prospect for clients in a large addressable market using Pre-Planned Meetings/cold calls/emails/social media/drop-ins.
· Utilize your existing executive relationship building skills to engage with key contacts at existing accounts to maintain and grow incremental business by solving customer problems. Establish executive relationships between Patheous Health and key customer executives.
· Align the company offering to the customer’s business needs, challenges, and clinical requirements by educating through conversations, presentations/in-services and collateral.
· Develop and maintain a quarterly and annual business plan for the territory by utilizing industry data and performing a strategic opportunity analysis.
· Meet and exceed projected sales goals, build, and maintain a consistently strong pipeline, and develop a forecast of new accounts.
· Replace incumbent providers.
· Provide a consultative, solutions-oriented sales approach to clients.
· Generate service proposals and provide continuous follow-up throughout the term of the customer’s contract.
· Gather and report to management the required information regarding the company, competitors, pricing, services, and current and future market trends.
· Keep account and contact data up to date, document detailed notes, follow-ups, territory updates, in our CRM system.
· Able to successfully manage their time and managed conflicting priorities, multitask assignments, meet performance goals per company standards, and punctual to work.
· Must be willing to handle additional tasks as assigned by the manager.
· Maintain timely expense reporting.
· Keep co-workers informed regarding incoming contracts, customer changes, trends, as applicable.
Industry Specific Skills and Duties:
· Understand the clinical benefits of mobile imaging and swallow studies, speech therapy and how it relates to our patient/clinician centric service offering.
· Continue to expand clinical knowledge to better meet the needs of our customers.
· Ability to interact with Speech-Language Pathologists, physicians, nurses, and administrators working in various medical environments including:
o Skilled Nursing Facilities, Hospitals, Physician offices, Home Health, and all other senior care facility settings.
· Stay current with clinical, financial, and medical terminology related to the health care environment, dysphagia and the procedures we offer, and demonstrate conversational knowledge of ethical, privacy and regulatory issues that impact service delivery of our services in all settings served by the company.
· Participate as assigned in national, state, and regional trade shows.
· Adhere to HIPAA requirements in managing all interactions with patient information.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Ability to travel as needed.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
· Potential of 50%+ travel required and potentially drive a minimum 500 miles per week for outside sales.
· Minimum of 2-5 years successful experience as a direct contributor carrying an individual quota in B2B Sales
· Proven track record of prospecting in a large addressable market using cold calls/emails/social media.
· Knowledgeable in MS Office and possess computer proficiency for sales presentations, data entry functions and utilizing company information systems.
· Experience working with a CRM system.
· Excellent executive selling skills, executive relationships, business acumen, proposal development, presentation and negotiating skills are required.
· Preference is for qualified candidates to live in the assigned territory.
