Position Summary

Eligible to apply anywhere in the US. Position is eligible to be fully remote.

The Account Executive owns the relationship with the broker. The goal of this role is to build and maintain broker relationships, to promote an exceptional experience for our clients. This is achieved through communicating and demonstrating Meritain’s total cost of care, while advocating for healthier living.

Responsibilities of the Account Executive Role:

  • Relationship Management/Consultative Services
  • Prepare and issue renewal proposal
  • Confirm sold proposal and plan changes
  • Ensure client is up to date on compliance requirements
  • Salesforce management
  • Virtual open enrollment meetings
  • Attend implementation calls
  • Stop Loss and Ad-Hoc Reporting
  • Point solution upsell


Required Qualifications

  • Prior Self-funded Health Insurance Account Management experience of 2 years
  • Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understand competitive environment and market opportunities
  • Ability to successfully establish and maintain relationships with internal business partners (underwriting, sales, operations, business analytics, etc.)
  • Ability to work collaboratively with both internal and external business partners
  • Exhibit consistency in follow through on outstanding items to point of resolution
  • Demonstrate accuracy in information shared internally and externally
  • Ability to participate and/or successfully host client meetings as appropriate
  • Demonstrate adherance to PHI and HIPPA policies
  • Health/Life Major Lines Producer License (can obtain post-hire)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior Account Executive experience of 2 years or greater
  • Located in PST or MST


Education

Associate's degree or equivalent work experience (HS diploma + 2 years relevant experience)

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$48,300.00 - $106,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
