- Closely monitor the metric performance of the production lines and implement initiatives that will increase productivity. Lead daily operations and continue improvements which include but are not limited to production, quality, safety, and inventory.
- Ensure culture which values people’s contribution to success is continually supported and enhanced through leadership example.
- Direct all aspects of Plant communications to insure employees understand their respective role in attaining the business goals.
- Help lead the cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives for the plant.
- Read and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputs.
- Promote a team environment and develop direct reports through problem solving skill sets.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects and malfunctions.
- Ensure the proper application and interpretation of established personnel and safety policies throughout the plant.
- Leads by example to encourage desired performance.
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, operations management or similar field/ equivalent experience maybe considered.
- 8+ years in a manufacturing or progressive production environment preferred.
- Great with all forms of communication and presenting information to diverse audiences.
- Experience managing an operation up to 100 employees.
- Lean Six Sigma experience, knowledge of quality and productivity improvement processes.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; focus on driving discipline, fast-based decisions.
- Computer skills including all Microsoft Office.
- Desire to continually develop by cross training and have a great eye for talent.
