Protective SummerInternProgram Overview

If your answer to these questions is "yes," then you could be a fit for Protective's Summer Internship Program!Our InternshipProgram is a 10-week program that provides high-performing college students with paid,hands-on experience, mentoring and insight into our business operations. Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with business leaders to develop and execute solutions to real business problems. In addition to gaining meaningful work experience, interns will have the opportunity to participate in various community and professional development events.Protective Life has been recognized by Forbes as one of America's Best Midsize Employers.
The Protective Summer Internship program begins in late-May. Internships are available at our corporate office in Birmingham, AL and are scheduled for 40 hours a week. All of our internship opportunities are paid at $20/hour.
Knowledge Analytics Overview
This intern will provide support to our Customer Experience - Talent Development team by completing projects related to database and knowledge management. Our ideal candidate will be interested in a long-term career in Insurance and/or Business Operations.
Day to Day Responsibilities
- Work to identify opportunities to improve our existing knowledge management offerings.
- Interpret generated usage reports across business areas to uncover actionable trends.
- Incorporate business feedback and assist in meeting evolving business demands related to knowledge management.
- Research available knowledge management tools utilized by Protective, comparing proficiencies and weaknesses of each offering.
- Assist in standing up knowledge management tools or functions as needed.
Student Critria
- College student pursuing anundergraduate degree with a minimum 3.0 overall GPA;Juniors and Seniors preferred ORgraduate student pursuing a master's degree with a minimum of 3.0 overall GPA
- Pursuing a four-year degree in concentrations including, but not limited to business management, communications, accounting, business administration and marketing.
- Basic Data Analytics and Data Visualization skills.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to learn new technology quickly
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
$20 - $20 an hour
