2024 Summer Intern - Quality Control (QC)
Department Summary
The Quality Control department monitors and inspects products or services at various stages of production, we prevent defects or errors from occurring by implementing measures to control environmental monitoring, incoming materials, in process controls and finished goods to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives.
This internship position is located in Tucson, AZ, on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Value Stream Mapping of QC laboratory (Current vs Future)
- Identify components of lead time
- Provide a recommendation plan to optimize the QC process
Program Highlights
- Intensive 12-weeks full time (40 hours per week) paid internship.
- Program start dates are in May/June (Summer).
- A stipend, based on location, will be provided to help alleviate costs associated with the internship
- Ownership of challenging and impactful business-critical projects.
- Work with some of the most talented people in the biotechnology industry.
Who You Are
- Required Education: You meet one of the following criteria:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree (enrolled student)
- Must be pursuing a Master of Science in Engineering Degree (enrolled student)
Required skills:
- Experience with collection, analysis and presentation of data is required.
- Experience with Google Workspace is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement and/or Agile methodologies is preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
