Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about providing comprehensive eye care services, diagnosing and treating various eye conditions, and promoting overall eye health.
Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess visual acuity, visual field, and refractive errors.
- Diagnose and treat ocular conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, contact lenses, and other optical aids as needed.
- Monitor and manage eye health, including prescribing medications and providing therapeutic treatments.
- Educate patients on proper eye care practices, including hygiene, nutrition, and lifestyle factors affecting eye health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as ophthalmologists, primary care physicians, and opticians, to provide integrated patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Stay updated on advancements in optometry and participate in continuing education to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited optometry program.
- Valid state optometry license.
- Board certification or eligibility for certification preferred.
- Excellent clinical skills and ability to perform thorough eye examinations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and colleagues.
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and promoting eye health awareness.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and proficiency in maintaining accurate patient records.
- Willingness to participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
