2024 - 2025 US Math Teacher, Full time, 10-month, Exempt
Summary: The Upper School (grades 9-12) seeks candidates for a full-time, permanent position in our Mathematics Department. We seek a dynamic, creative, and multifaceted professional for a full-time Math teacher position. The Upper School Mathematics Department develops mathematically literate, confident problem-solvers who are fluent, flexible thinkers with an appreciation for the beauty and challenge of mathematics.
The ideal candidate will be able to teach Calculus, as well as other lower level mathematics courses. We seek an individual who is professional, and able to deliver high-quality, student-engaging instruction.
Qualifications: Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree in mathematics or mathematics education. Candidates are preferred to have three years of teaching experience at the high school level, but a teacher with less than three years and an exemplary first teaching experience should also consider applying. The ideal candidate will have a desire to work with Upper School students in a supportive college-preparatory environment. Experience in teaching AP Computer Science is preferred but not required. Candidates should possess basic computer literacy and experience using Google Suite for both administrative and instructional purposes, strong interpersonal, and written communication skills. Knowledge of Quaker history and education is desirable, but not required.

Physical Requirements: The ability to navigate stairs as part of daily routines; mobility around a large campus with uneven pavement; bending and squatting as required to participate in activities; sitting and standing for long periods of time during the school day; lifting/carrying boxes up to 25 pounds; and the ability to maneuver as necessary within a regular classroom and office setting.
