ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Promote policies and practices that enhance Operations Services and/or the District.
- Perform highly accountable, complex, managerial and strategic work with responsibility for all operations functions.
- Develop an annual budget for the needs of Operations Services.
- Assist in representing the District in business and operational matters such as vendor contracts and agreements, as well as labor negotiations.
- Serve on local, state and national committees related to school business, Operations Services.
- Maintain liaison with other divisions.
- Assist with coordination, support, and planning of Bond issues.
- Participate in and support the District's efforts in strategic planning.
- Monitor fund balances on all accounts assigned to Operations Services.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with statutory requirements, board policies and procedures with regard to construction projects.
- Participate in appropriate professional organizations.
- Maintain continuous contact with peers and school administrators in surrounding schools and across the State as well as with appropriate State Department of Education personnel, professional association officers, to promote programs that are beneficial to the District.
- Attend all Board of Education meetings as required.
- Develop and plan for the continuing education and development of employees at all levels within Operations Services.
- Assist in legal matters associated with operations services.
- Assist in real estate matters.
- Perform other duties as required/assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in management, business, or related area from an accredited college or university, preferred but not required.
- Operations management experience with increasing levels of responsibility, including a minimum of two years' experience at the leadership level is required.
Certificates, Licenses and Other Special Requirements
- Must pass a Criminal Background Clearance, the results of which must be satisfactory to the District, required.

- Knowledge of algebra and/or geometry; review and interpret highly technical information, write technical materials, and/or speak persuasively to implement desired actions; and analyze situations to define issues, draw conclusions and create action plans.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Work environment is primarily inside, where the noise and temperature levels are moderate.
- The work is sedentary work that requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 10 pounds of force to move objects
- Must possess the physical ability to perceive the nature of sounds, make rational decisions through sound logic and deductive processes, express or exchange ideas by the spoken word, substantial movements (motions) with the hands, wrists, and/or fingers, and discern letters or numbers at a given distance.
