$17-$20 per hour. Junior Medical Biller and Coder

MEDICAL BILLER: (Please no third party billing companies)

Genesis Orthopaedic and Spine, a multi-specialty Orthopedic, Spine and Sports Medicine practice in Westfield, NJ, West Orange, NJ, and Morristown, NJ has an exciting opportunity to join our growing family and is seeking a FULL-TIME Medical Billing Representative. Experience working in an Orthopedic or Sports Medicine office preferred. Additional experience or training on eClinicalWorks EMR is a plus. Knowledge of clearinghouses such as Emdeon/Change Healthcare and Jopari is a PLUS.

We are a Monday to Friday, 9-5 office

Experience: This is an entry level position any experience in Out-Patient or hospital billing preferred but not required. Orthopaedic and Spine billing experience is a PLUS. EClinical Works experience a plus.

Job Description:

• Knowledge of Medical Billing/coding
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Posting daily revenue payments
• Denial tracking
• Follow up on Commercial insurance and Medicare claims
• Checking daily balances
• Ensure payments match our contracted rates or fee schedules
• Contact patients in regards to their balance
• Able to record and identify denial codes and reasons why
• Generate weekly reports as requested
• Handle patient billing calls
• Maintaining excel spreadsheets
• Additional duties as requested by manager

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
