Form of workWe are looking for a creative, hardworking, and enthusiastic individual who is eager to work with children, teens and caregivers while assisting us with our summer reading program. You will be part of a team organizing and preparing various aspects of the program, working directly with our teen volunteers and representing the library at the summer reading table.
This position is designed to give MLIS/Education students experience in assisting with program planning and learning how to provide excellent customer service while working with seasoned library professionals in a public library setting.
Requirements & Skills:
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and excel in Our Culture.
Preferred candidates will be currently enrolled in an education or MLIS program.
Education (or equivalent) and Experience
High school diploma.
Hours and Scheduling
Part time position, approximately 19 hours per week. Must be available for day, evening and weekend hours from approximately May 22 through July 31.
Salary and Benefits:
Pay rate $15.50 per hour. No benefits.
