Salary Range: $70,000 to $85,000 based on experience
Job Overview:
SGA is seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Programs to lead and oversee our community health and after-school-focused programming. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and ensuring the effective utilization of our innovative Cycle of Opportunity method, which aims to help children, families, and communities facing great challenges realize their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and oversight to program and administrative functions of SGA's community health and after-school-focused programming
- Develop and implement strategies to ensure the effective utilization of the Cycle of Opportunity method
- Manage and support programs related to parenting and infant mortality support, mentorship, trauma-informed programming, and after-school services
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure program alignment with SGA's mission and goals
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, making necessary adjustments to ensure continuous improvement and effectiveness
- Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring financial sustainability and compliance with funding requirements
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration among staff
Major Duties:
- Ensure the effective utilization of multiple funding streams supporting SGA, developing internal procedures to ensure smooth operation and compliance with multiple program requirements.
- Coordinate and monitor financial and administrative key performance indicators of programs alongside the Senior Program Director.
- Recruit and train team members within 30 days of position availability/posting.
- Conduct regular supervision, training, professional development, and performance reviews for program coordinators
- Oversee the collection and timely reporting of accountability data, including weekly enrollment and vacancy reports and funder reports.
- Represent the agency, fostering strong relationships with local, city, state, and federal stakeholders to support successful implementation and service delivery to participants, families, and communities.
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Director to oversee the development and maintenance of new employee orientation and onboarding, program policies and procedures, and program audits.
- Work with the SGA evaluation team to monitor key performance indicators and ongoing documentation of programming.
- Develop and maintain communication systems for general, staff, families, and the community.
- Establish and maintain a system for providing a continuum of services for families.
- Collaborate with leadership wot secure partnership agreements, letters of support, and memoranda of agreements with local stakeholders to support program implementation and sustainability.
- Participate in the preparation of required program reports and proposals.
- Attend all relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Develop and monitor program budgets, contracts, and scopes to ensure compliance with funder requirements.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in community health or after-school programming
- Proven track record of successfully managing and implementing programs
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and stakeholders
- Knowledge of trauma-informed programming and best practices in community health and after-school services
- Financial management and budgeting experience
