Position Available
Youth Services Specialist – Dawson County Library.
Part-time, non-exempt 28 hrs/week, Monday-Friday.
Some Nights and Some Saturdays required.
Hourly wage is $15.00 per hour ($21,840.00 annually) and eligible for state FLEX benefits that include dental, vision, and life insurance. The Chestatee Regional Library System participates in Teachers Retirement System of Georgia.
The Youth Services Specialist is a public facing position, responsible for coordinating reference and information services to youth (ages 0-15) and providing programs for young people and their parents relevant to community needs. Plans and implements the Summer Reading Programs for children and teens. We are looking to fill 2 positions-(1) to coordinate/plan/implement programs for ages birth -elementary school; (1) to coordinate/plan/implement programs and activities for middleschool/high school.Strong computer and technology skills required.
Supervises the branch in the absence of the full-time supervisory team. Reports to the Branch Manager.
Education requirement : at least two years of college, or two years of public library experience with a high school diploma or GED
