LOCATION: This position is on-site, office-based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid model - 3 days remote / 2 days in office- Tuesday & Wednesday)

 

Take charge of process operations and amplify your impact across the Youth Development field, overseeing tasks from initiation to completion. This role offers the chance to cultivate and take ownership of the process while actively supporting and guiding Youth Development

Reporting to the Senior Director, Youth Development Services, this Director-level position holds a key responsibility in advancing the adoption and execution of Youth Development programs, initiatives, and services. The role underscores the strategic use of program/product adoption expertise, coupled with a robust background in Marketing Communication (MarComm), to employ inventive methods for effectively reaching and engaging targeted audiences. This entails a fusion of both traditional and contemporary approaches.  Integral to the position is collaborative engagement with internal teams within the Youth Development sector and other departments across Boys & Girls Clubs of America Company. As a partner and collaborator, the Director actively contributes to the achievement of key initiatives and goals, aligning efforts to enhance the overall impact and success of the organization.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS


Adoption Strategy
• Take a leading role in evaluating and discerning local organizational priorities, needs, and opportunities to tailor strategies with a focus on increasing Youth Development program and service adoption as part of a wholistic Organizational Development strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute a comprehensive, data-driven adoption process that supports Youth Development activation efforts, grant deliverables, and aligns with local organizations’ needs.
• Institute change leadership and change management practices, including ADKAR framework (Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, Reinforcement), to drive program and service adoption.

 

Communications and User Experience
• Shape and execute a communication strategy aligned with the broader Youth Development strategy, ensuring clear and cohesive messaging.
• Utilize MarComm strategies to streamline communications, creating more concise and impactful messages for the field.
• Enhance user experience for local Boys & Girls Clubs in adopting and implementing assistance, support, resources, and tools through innovative communication methods.
• Collaborate with the Senior Director, YD Services: Adoption and team to ensure the overall synergy of communication efforts within the Youth Development department.

 

Assessment & Analysis
• Work closely with internal teams to collect and analyze data, understanding program impact, penetration, initiative adoption, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with teams across Youth Development to analyze Club priorities, needs, and readiness, informing the development of an implementation strategy targeting Clubs for Youth Development products and services.
• Align assessment and analysis efforts to ensure a comprehensive understanding of Youth Development impact and opportunities.
• Ensure a continuous quality improvement approach, cross-functional collaboration, and information sharing with a focus on strategic and data-driven decision-making.

 

Collaboration
• Engage actively with internal teams within Youth Development and other departments, fostering an active partnership that aligns with yearly key initiatives.
• Serve as a strategic partner and collaborator, actively supporting consultations, and building upon key initiatives to ensure success in service delivery and impact.
• Work towards establishing a seamless collaboration that fosters innovation and achievement of shared goals.

 

Leadership
• Report to the Senior Director, Youth Development Services: Adoption, providing valuable insights and support for strategy activation and the adoption of Youth Development programs, initiatives, and services.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree required. Marketing or communications preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in program/product adoption or a related leadership role in the private or public sector.

• Good reasoning abilities and sound judgment.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL & WORKING CONDITIONS

• Normal internal working environment.
• Travel estimated at 20%, including weekends, depending upon scheduling requirements.
