As a Youth Development Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of fostering social development through the facilitation of recreation and psycho-educational groups. Working under the guidance of our dedicated SBYSP Manager, you'll play a vital role in empowering youth to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities:
π Supervise and coordinate recreational programming and enriching field trips.
π Build rapport with students, fostering social skill development and advocating for their needs.
π Lead engaging prevention and psycho-educational groups.
π Ensure timely documentation and data input into our Management Information System.
π Provide essential case management support to students.
π Monitor academic and behavioral progress, providing guidance and support as needed.
π Assist in developing and marketing programs within schools and the broader community.
π Collaborate with colleagues to address suspected cases of abuse and neglect, ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth.
Qualifications:
π Minimum High School diploma required; Bachelorβs Degree in human services field preferred.
π 3 years of experience as a youth service worker, with a proven ability to work effectively in an urban setting. π§ Knowledge of adolescent development and community resources.
π€ Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to create a warm, therapeutic atmosphere and work collaboratively as part of a team.
