Definition: As part of the ATCAA team, the Prevention Programs/YES Partnership Deputy Director plays an essential role in ATCAA. Under direct supervision of the Prevention Programs/YES Partnership Director, the Deputy Director assists with the development and management of the prevention and youth development programs, including the YES Partnership community-wide coalition. The Prevention Programs/YES Partnership Deputy Director assists with assuring the viability, sustainability, and robust health of prevention programs by fostering a collaborative approach.

Supervises: Assists with supervision of the Youth Development Coordinator, Mentoring Coordinator, individuals hired through a Professional Services Agreement, and volunteers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities Related to This Position:
Specific duties include:
- Support Prevention Programs and YES Partnership standing/adhoc committees;
- Work closely with Prevention Programs staff and the YES Partnership members to provide outreach and publicity, public presentations, press releases, public service announcements and newsletters about various programs;
- Assist in organizing Prevention Programs and YES Partnership workshops, retreats, forums, fundraising events and in-service trainings for staff and coalition members;
- Assist with the management of Prevention Programs and YES Partnership grants and budgets following all established ATCAA and coalition policies and protocols;
- Assist in preparing fiscal and progress reports as required by Prevention Programs, YES Partnership, ATCAA, and funding sources;
- Write and/or assist with grant proposals related to Prevention Programs and YES Partnership activities;
- Coordinate any other activities of the Prevention Programs and YES Partnership, as identified by the staff and coalition, to address its priorities and issues.
- Assist with supervision of staff, individuals hired through a Professional Services Agreement, and volunteers consistent with ATCAA Personnel Policies and Procedures;
- Assist with assuring YES Partnership bylaws and other organizational policies are followed, as well as assuring agendas and minutes are complete, cataloged, and compliant with all laws and regulations;
- Assist with the coordination and development of community wide LivingWorks Start, safeTALK, ASIST, Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid trainings;
- Assist in the development of comprehensive media strategies to promote youth development, prevent suicide, substance use, and child abuse.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to:
- Speak effectively and comfortably in public forums and provide presentations;
- Demonstrate good verbal and written skills;
- Form cooperative working relationships with a range of public and private organizations in the community;
- Plan and organize activities and events in the community;
- Prepare written fiscal and narrative reports;
- Background in Program or Project management including demonstrated cost, schedule and contractual compliance.
- Proficiency in computer operating systems, word processing and spreadsheet software (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Internet);
- Meet all federal/state licensing requirements and/or program requirements necessary for this position: possess a valid California driver’s license, an acceptable driving record, and fingerprint clearance);
- Lift 30 pounds.
Desired Qualifications:
- B/A or BS Degree preferred;
- Minimum of two years experience in program coordination of youth development programs, suicide prevention, substance use prevention, child abuse prevention and early intervention strategies;
- Minimum of two years supervisory experience;
- Familiarity with Tuolumne County Schools, youth and community based organizations and programs;
- Experience with fundraising, program promotion, outreach, and grant writing;
- Experience in program planning and development, budget preparation and management.
