Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated X-ray Technician to assist in a one-week assignment for an orthopedic office. As an X-ray Technician, you will be crucial in providing accurate diagnostic evaluations to assist in patient care. This position offers the opportunity to work with various imaging modalities, including X-ray, CT, mammography, PET scan, and sonography. Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using X-ray equipment and other modalities as required
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment in accordance with safety protocols
- Review images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze images
- Maintain patient records and documentation accurately
- Adhere to all relevant medical regulations, policies, and guidelines
Skills:
- Proficiency in performing X-ray procedures and interpreting results
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Familiarity with various imaging modalities such as CT, mammography, PET scan, and sonography
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols accurately
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing patient care and safety
