JOB TITLE: Workforce & Education Program Coordinator

FULL/PART TIME: Part-time 28-32 hours per week
SALARY: $28/hour
REPORTS TO: Government & Regional Affairs Director
JOB PURPOSE:
Create robust connections between businesses and educational institutions to address critical voids within our region.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the Program Team (Association of WA Business, Columbia Basin College, WSU Tri-Cities and Tri-City Regional Chamber of Commerce) to improve the reach and efficacy of the Washington Workforce Portal.
- Build and maintain relationships with business and education partners.
- Through outreach, enroll business partners to utilize the portal to post their work-based learning opportunities.
- Through outreach, work with education institutions to provide tools to encourage students to utilize the portal.
- Coordinate the Tri-Cities Signing Day event.
- Through outreach, work with businesses to connect to graduating seniors.
- Through outreach, work with education institutions to match students to with employers.
- Effectively communicate workforce and education programs to chamber members and the broader region.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Two years of progressive experience and responsibility in related field
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Typical office environment conditions and noise levels. Regularly scheduled to work 32 hours per week, may be required to work more than 32 hours per week to meet deadlines, complete assignments, or attend meetings and events.
