Position: Workday Solutions Analyst
Manager: Associate Director for Workday Solutions
The Workday Solutions Analyst will provide primary support for Workday at Stevens, including both HCM and Student modules. Responsibilities include business process and security administration, reporting, and change management. The person in this position must have in-depth knowledge of Higher Education business processes to provide functional areas with effective solutions. The successful candidate will be able to perform research autonomously and steer small to medium-sized groups. It is imperative this candidate has a passion for teamwork and values effective communication. This person will assist colleagues from all academic and administrative units to continually help and enhance Workday functionality. A data-based and problem-solving mindset, creativity, communication, and customer-centricity are key characteristics for this position.
Responsibilities
● Engage functional area users with their Workday enhancement requests and resolve in cooperation with the Workday Solutions team and self-directed research via Workday Community
● Configure and modify Workday business processes as required based on functionality and business choices
● Assist with the management of all Workday security processes
● Drive small and medium-sized working groups on discovery sessions as well as resolution
● Troubleshoot with functional area and end-users any issues which arise to ensure they are properly investigated, documented, and resolved
● Create, maintain, and schedule delivery of Workday reports to end users
● Communicate issues, bugs, and configuration problems with Workday Support
● Develop documentation, guidelines, and training materials for all users of Workday
● Proactively and continuously pursue professional development and training
● Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
● 2+ years of professional experience with the Workday platform; experience including Workday Student preferred
● Confidence in ability to be curious and a self-starter while maintaining expertise in partnership
● Proven organizational, prioritization, and planning skills with an ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and collaboratively with cross-functional units
● Ability to examine business operations and translate business needs into system solutions
● Excellent relational, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
● Experience capturing requirements and documenting business processes
● Bachelor's degree in a data-based, business, or technology-related field; or equivalent training and experience
