Work Study - Library Clerk At Swisher Community Library

JOB GOAL:

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:
Library Clerk is an entry level position under the direct supervision of the Library Director of the Swisher Community Library. This position is ongoing pending work-study eligibility of the student hired into the role.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Check materials in and out for patrons
• Answer patrons questions
• Help prepare materials for Story Time and other children’s programming
• Work well with children and older adults
• Other duties as assigned
• Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Position involves working in a library setting. Frequent (33-64%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be a registered student
• Must be eligible for federal work-study

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

• This position is off-campus, approximately 6 miles from campus, and you must have reliable means of transportation
