The Electrical Assembler will be responsible for electrical assembly of liquid filling and cup machines. Must have excellent math/measurement skills, advanced knowledge of electrical assembly processes, and be mechanically inclined.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree or trade school certificate in electrical preferred.
Experience: 3+ years' electrical/mechanical assembly and electrical wiring experience required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: (These are things the candidate should possess prior to being hired, i.e., computer skills)
- Familiar with the use of personal computer (Data Entry, Scan, basic transactions in MRP software)
- Must be able to read basic instructions, hand sketches, read and interpret schematics and blueprints, and diagrams in English.
- Must have knowledge of basic shop math skills.
- Ability to use basic shop tools such as light powered mechanical tools, including hand tools, calipers, scale, measuring devices, and micrometers.
- Ability to fit and align and or adjust parts to meet specifications and requirements.
- Familiar working in Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement programs
- Capable of performing accurate work at a fast pace
- Must have proven track record in electrical techniques including electrical hardware, junction boxes and circuit breaker units, trace lines and reading wiring, harnessing diagrams.
- Must understand AC/DC electrical circuits.

Duties and Responsibilities: (List the essential functions of the position, i.e., what incumbent is required to do, not how it is done)
- Responsible for following all facility and department specific safety rules, procedures, and programs. Wearing all required personal protective equipment for all plant, department, and task specific requirements.
- Builds and troubleshoots complex electromechanical assemblies
- Assembles and performs wiring on electrical components
- Responsible for verifying quality on assembled parts
- Verfies starting materials to ensure assemblies are complete prior to beginning job
- Verifies final configurations and powers on machines prior to shipment
- Work with engineers and programmers to develop or enhance process plans
- May be asked to assist in trianing of new employees
- Verifies that materials meet the spec to ensure quality (Check-Do-Check)
- Works on building equipment and fixtures, including but not limited to, HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, electrical and electronic controls, fire alarms, generators, defective switches, outlets, and light fixtures
- Inspects and repairs faulty wiring
- Installs electrical conduit and control switches
- Tests faulty electrical equipment using standard instruments
- Complies with all 5S and CI initiatives (Production boards, housekeeping, audits, Kaizen participation and crosstraining)
- Maintains regular attendance and excellent punctuality
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Works overtime as required

Work Environment: The environment is both office and manufacturing. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
The position will interface with the Manufacturing, Engineering, Accounting, and Purchasing departments as necessary. This position will also require overtime as necessary.
