Summary:
A Wire Inventory Manager for Capital Electric is responsible for ensuring our customers and branches have their wire requests fulfilled in an agreed upon time frame. Coordinate the accuracy of our Wire Inventory. Perform other tasks in support of warehousing functions.
Essential Functions:
- Cut wire to match quantities and specifics on sales order/transfer
- Communicate with sales on time frames and workload of wire cutting area
- Maintain inventory accuracy on wire reels and coils
- Keep wire cutting equipment in good working condition
- Maintain wire area clean and orderly
- Communicate with shipping on needs for special deliveries
- Communicate with writers when work tickets are processed
- Assist with all aspects or wire orders
- Miscellaneous duties as needed
- Performs task in the areas of machine set up, machine operation, and machine general maintenance. May also use manual tools to cut and/or strip wire and cable.
- Identify proper specifications from cut sheets and job orders.
- Manually and digitally set up wire cutting machines to job specifications.
- Basic maintenance and troubleshooting of wire cutting machines for proper set up and operation.
- Inspect products to ensure within specifications.
- Minimize scrap through proper operation, maintenance, and set up of machines.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to see and differentiate colors. Corrected vision that allows reading of small alphanumeric letters at a distance of 12-18 inches
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ability to work independently
- High School or GED
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 70 lbs. occasionally.
- Good at both verbal and written communication
- Accurate and attention for detail
- Good hand, eye coordination
- Mechanically inclined
