The Role:
As a WHS & Materials Coordinator, you will assist the Manufacturing & Warehouse Departments with inventory management to ensure the flow of components continuously support the team’s production schedule and goals. This is a hands-on position where you will be physically delivering parts between departments throughout the Supply Chain and completing all related systemic ERP transactions. You will be working with a diverse team of dedicated, creative and technical forces behind the design and development of new power conversion systems. Responsibilities:
- Pull stock inventory and material from main inventory to manufacturing floor; replenish stock inventory
- Compiles and maintains manual or computerized records, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, status, and location of materials
- Deliver inventory items in a timely and accurate manner to recipients
- Analyzes and monitors inventory, work orders, and Inventory Transfer Requests
- Manage Min/Max physical Inventory Levels for manufacturing inventory
- Ensures system accuracy and traceability of components thru timely transactions and physical movements
- Updates and monitors daily movement of parts providing information to appropriate personnel regarding back order of critical scheduled material
- Coordinates the delivery of materials as required for designated production areas and engineering projects
- Reviews material requisitions issued to the stockroom to ensure that material is properly allocated, and storage will not affect production
- Ensures the completion of physical inventory counts, prepares lists of obsolete and excess quantities of stock components
- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
- Work with a cross-functional team to learn and understand the Company goals and needs
- Experience in materials management, production control, manufacturing, warehouse, or supply chain preferred (0 – 3 years)
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- ERP system experience preferred
- Familiar with documentation processes and work instructions
- Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a diverse team
- Able to reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Continually required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds/ up to 60 pounds
- Occasionally exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
- Continually work near moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
- Occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
- Occasionally exposed to loud noise
