Job Description
Everett Engineering is a leading manufacturing company specializing in custom metal fabrication and welding. We are currently seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join our team.
As a Welder/Fabricator at Everett Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to fabricate, assemble, and weld various metal components and structures according to engineering drawings and specifications. This position requires a strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate and weld metal components and structures following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Operate welding equipment, such as MIG, TIG, and stick welders, safely and efficiently.
- Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and weld metal parts.
- Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy, making any necessary repairs or adjustments.
- Test and evaluate welded components to ensure they meet specified tolerances and requirements.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and best practices in the use of welding equipment and materials.
- Collaborate with engineers, production supervisors, and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve any welding-related issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Certified welder with a minimum of 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication.
- Proficient in various welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and processes.
- Familiarity with different types of metals and alloys.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform welding tasks for extended periods.
- Good communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
