Senior Site Quality Specialist
The Senior Site Quality Specialist is responsible for ensuring the implemented quality program is followed on projects. This ensures projects are fabricated/installed, examined, tested, and documented according to project specifications, governing codes of construction, and contract documents.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Construction Quality Section Manager with managing and mentoring quality personnel relative to the scope, complexity, and logistics of work.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop the Construction Quality Plan for the project by assisting with specification reviews.
- Work with Engineering to address any elevated quality requirements.
- Develop Inspection and Test Plans and verify their execution through assessments.
- Review and confirm compliance of subcontractor Quality submittals as required, including their Inspection and Test Plans.
- Lead preparatory meetings and communicate contractual quality requirements to the subcontractors to achieve quality objectives.
- Proactively support the successful implementation of the Construction Quality Plan, including key processes (e.g., document management, material management, special processes, etc.). Elevate any opportunities to the Project Lead when necessary.
- Stay ahead of installation activities and communicate any complexities associated with upcoming work.
- Monitor and, when required, inspect fabricated/installed products and services to confirm compliance with project specifications and drawings. Document results as required.
- Review quality verification documents to confirm all attributes are addressed as they are issued and confirm compliance with the specifications and drawings.
- Manage the "punch list process" and perform acceptance inspections of completed items when required.
- Manage weekly quality meetings with the client and subcontractors.
- Recommend enhancements and changes to improve the company's Quality Management System.
- Ensure conditions adverse to quality (nonconformances) are identified, segregated, documented, dispositioned, and tracked through acceptance and closure.
- Confirm Welding Procedure Specifications and associated Procedure Qualification Records are reviewed by a qualified subject matter expert.
- Analyze company procedures to support the preferred approach to specific activities.
- Assist the Construction Quality Manager with assigning Welding Procedure Specifications to the applicable weldments.
- Assist in setting up and tracking welder traceability.
- Track project quality metrics.
- Confirm that project turnover packages are populated and correspond to project activities.
- Comply with all Safety & Health requirements and monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to safety standards.
- Participate in the Task Safety Observations (TSO's) process and define corrective measures for problem areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education:
- High school diploma or GED with 11 years of experience, OR
- Associate's degree in a related field with 9 years of experience, OR
- Bachelor's degree in a related field with 7 years of experience
