Manpower Patient Sitter Weekend Supervisor

What does a Patient Sitter Weekend Supervisor do?
Manpower’s Weekend Patient Sitter Supervisor is responsible for the weekend oversight and day-to-day supervision, scheduling and coordination of our patient sitter safety program at a regional medical hospital each and every weekend.
Responsibilities:

1. Must be available to oversee daily operations each and every weekend. The weekend patient sitter supervisor performs a variety of clerical, reception, admission, communication, customer service, safety and coordination tasks to effectively run a smooth safety and observation program, customer service, safety at a regional hospital. The goal is to ensure quality oversight to ensure patient safety and quality patient care.
2. Supervising a team of patient sitters without distraction.
3. Supervising and watching over patient sitter staff, providing temporary relief or taking over shift entirely
4. Assisting hospital leadership with monitoring, reporting and scheduling.
5. Interacting with all members of the Healthcare team to keep the lines of communication open.
6. Supervising and providing emotional support to patients and staff as needed.
7. Coordinating information and ensuring everyone is up to date with the latest patient information/schedule.
8. Keeping patient information and staff information confidential.
9. Other duties as assigned

Required Years of Experience:

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role, preferably in the medical field.

Required Skills:

1. Must be able to work with Microsoft Word & Excel
2. Strong attention to detail. This individual will be responsible for putting together, daily, weekly and monthly schedule for all team members.
3. Exceptional communication and time management skills.
4. Ability to act calmly and swiftly under pressure.
5. Ability to shift back and forth between two or more tasks effectively and tactfully.
6. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Schedule:

• Friday, Saturday and Sunday each weekend 7a-7p EST

Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Strong listening and communication skills
3. Strong observation ability
4. Professional appearance and excellent hygiene
5. Ability to act calmly and swiftly under pressure
