Weekend Doorman

Position Summary:

Door staff is chiefly responsible for attending to the lobby, first floor and front door areas and dispensing packages delivered earlier in the day to residents.

Reports To:

 The Building Superintendent - immediate supervisor

 Property Manager designated by property management company

Basic Duties and Responsibilities:

 Ensure that all front doors remain locked throughout the evening and that visitors are admitted only after (a) being buzzed in by resident, and (b) signing the Visitor Log at lobby station.

 Maintain Parking Violators Log, entering pertinent information regarding vehicles that remain parked in the front cycle for more than 30 minutes, and place warning stickers on from passenger, side window.

 At beginning of every shift, retrieve packages left earlier in the day in Building Package Room and bring those to the lobby station for pick-up by residents upon their arrival home

 Open door for residents whenever possible and assist them with bringing groceries, luggage, etc. Into the lobby

 Assist with snow removal as per directions of Building Superintendent and/or Property Manager

 Attend to any unsanitary conditions drawn to your attention during your shift (example: dog urine in hallway or in elevator cab)

 Promptly notify Building Superintendent of elevator problems and unsafe/hazardous conditions (examples: smell of gas, etc)

 Able to stand for long hours at a time and move, carry and lift up to 70 pounds

OTHER JOB ESSENTIALS:

 Is punctual and works as scheduled

 Is neat and clean in appearance when working; upon hiring we will provide you will uniform shirt.

 Is polite to all residents, co-workers, Building Superintendent, Property Manager and outside contractors and show professional mannerism

 Is a team player, strives to get along with everyone and cooperates in creating/maintaining a pleasant community.

 Others that maybe ask by management from time to time

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.97 - $19.87 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week
