Brief Overview of Position:
Strategic Operational Solutions (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for a Web Applications Programmer/Analyst role to support a United States Coast Guard client where we are focused on delivering innovative operations and solutions through proven successful methods. This is a key personnel requirement on the task order. The ideal applicant is versatile, with a broad background and demonstrated ability to produce quality work. You must be comfortable in a challenging, collaborative, multi-tasking, dynamic, high-tempo, deadline-intensive environment. This position is not eligible for teleworking or remote work. This position shall work at the Health Safety and Work-life Service Center in Norfolk, VA.
Description of Duties:
- The ideal candidate shall design, develop and implement a web-based interface using Visual Studio and languages ASP/ASP.NET/C#, working closely with the Project Manager and Database Programmer/Analyst to update the (SIS) Unit Profile application (Adaptive Maintenance) integrating a complex database design with web/reporting interface
- Translates requirements into technical design and document
- Assists with database development using scripting and stored procedures in support of the web interface
- Provides change control and configuration management within the software development lifecycle
- Prepares, updates, and reviews application documentation as required
Education, Experience, and Security Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering Technology or similar discipline
- At least six (6) years of computer systems analysis and design, programming and/or systems integration experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust determination
- At least four (4) years of successful database programming and management experience
- Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP/ASP.NET/C#, JavaScript, VBScript, SQL Server Reporting Services; and Microsoft SQL experience to include database management, writing of complex queries and creation of stored procedures
- Must have completed Cybersecurity Competencies of IAT Level II. CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC or Security+ CE (Minimum)
- It is vital the person filling the role is available to the COR and SIS Branch Chief via MS TEAMS and telephone between the hours of 0700 and 1700 ET, Monday through Friday
