The candidate will be responsible for the full Systems Development Life Cycle, oversees a development team, and is hands on from a technical perspective. The work includes close participation with the Scrum master and Product Owner.
Responsibilities:
Drive the translation of complex business initiatives into innovative technology solutions and ensure architectural consistency across solution boundaries.
Understand business domain and business challenges to facilitate and influence business process re-engineering and improvements.
Participate in the development and refinement of the on-going relationships with the technology and business application vendors in relation to the solution portfolio.
Maintain architectural standards, guidelines and best practices.
Manage and lead a team of developers across geographic locations
Skills and Experience:
At Least 8 years of proven software development experience
Hands on technical lead with experience building scalable distributed platform using Core Java
Proven experience planning, designing, and implementing software architectures and large-scale business solutions.
Sound IT experience in some combination of application architectures, software development and infrastructure, systems integration and package implementation.
Knowledge of Architectural Standards and Frameworks.
Excellent analysis and design skills, including familiarity with OOA/D methodologies and tools
Prior experience of working with multiple trams (local, virtual/global) and ability to co-ordinate and manage tasks. Ability to effectively lead offshore development teams.
Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Prior working experience with Banking or Wealth Management is a big plus
Strong leadership skills, decision making and problem solving abilities.
Experience with
Web technologies: SOAP/REST Web Services, XML
Design patterns and threads, working with multithreaded environment
Java/J2EE, Spring Framework
Websphere environment
Continuous Integration: Maven, Jenkins
IDE: Eclipse
Versioning system: SVN, Git
Oracle Database - SQL and Stored procedures
Agile Methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban etc.)
