Job Purpose

With water being one of the most important issues facing Colorado, Resource Central partners with over 40 municipalities to promote water conservation and sustainable landscaping. We seek an energetic individual, ready to learn new skills, get their hands dirty, and help us scale our programs to make a lasting difference in Colorado communities. As the Senior Water Program Coordinator, your role is central to our Lawn Replacement Program focusing on operations and leading our seasonal crews.


This is a hybrid remote role with great flexibility; occasional on-site work is required. Principal Responsibilities

The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Play a key role in process development, implementation and improvement of program operations with the goal of efficiency and scalability.
  • Conduct research and employ problem-solving techniques to identify and address program challenges, fostering innovative solutions to enhance program effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Perform one-on-one customer consultations with potential Lawn Replacement participants, educating them and ensuring they are a good candidate for Resource Central services.
  • Develop homeowner facing training and educational materials to assist in irrigation improvements and lawn replacement projects.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise seasonal program staff. Working in the field as needed, performing site visits, assisting crew leads as needed and ensuring safety and quality procedures are followed.
  • Drive a truck with a trailer when needed, safely operate a sod cutter, use shovels and hand tools, and lift heavy sections of sod throughout the day.
  • Collaborate with the Administration Coordinator in scheduling of crew assignments and customer appointments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and timely service delivery while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Cultivate a strong sense of diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to take initiative, solve problems and manage projects independently and while directing teams.
  • Experience in operations, fieldwork, sustainability or water conservation.
  • Experience maintaining and repairing equipment, small engines, and flat tires.
  • Excellent computer skills including experience with G Suite and MS Office preferred.
  • Familiarity with water conservation, irrigation systems, and/or waterwise landscaping is strongly preferred.

Desired Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in program coordination or operations in a related professional industry.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle. Occasional travel to Front Range cities required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required, one year of professional-level work experience may be substituted for one year of required education.
  • Ability to complete physical labor, including being able to safely lift a maximum of 75 lbs, and willingness to work outside in most conditions.
