General Description
The Warehouse Specialist is responsible for training of team members and acting as a subject matter expert to lead problem solving initiatives within a department. This role is a working member of the team and will have operational assignments as required.
About the job:

• Train new and transferring team members to perform general warehouse activities as defined by SOPs, including on-going recertifications
• Responsible for assisting in the development of training materials
• Communicate team member's training status and metrics to leadership
• Lead problem solving initiatives by analyzing and discovering root issues, use findings to support process improvements
• Actively participate in and promote site safety initiatives
• Maintain a neat, orderly, and safe workspace
• Complete pre/post shift inspection of assigned work area and/or equipment
• Attend daily production meeting and participate in pre-shift health & safety requirements (i.e., stretching, ensuring proper PPE)
• Perform related tasks or complete special projects that align to the site and company's strategic business plans

About you:

• One (1) year of SAP or equivalent system experience
• High School Diploma or G.E.D
• General knowledge of automated warehouse and inventory practices
• Understands basic SAP inventory flow processes
• Ability to problem solve across multiple systems (WMS, SAP etc)
• Attention to detail
• Knowledge of Basic Excel Skills
• Comfortable working in a high volume, fast paced environment where priorities can shift quickly
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment
• Familiar with use of handheld RF scanner
• Stand and/or walk the majority of shift, plus ability to bend, squat, lift (up to 50 pounds), push, pull, reach with or without reasonable accommodation
• Assess problems by breaking down situations in an organized manner to generate solutions

• Ability to work effectively across various functions to address and resolve issues
• Energetic, positive, and helpful demeanor, along with effective communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
• Demonstrated exemplary attendance and work habits
• Knowledgeable regarding lean manufacturing and change management (5S, Gemba, Kata, Muda, etc.)
• General knowledge of warehouse management systems; Manhattan WMOS preferred
