Job Summary
Yarde Metals is looking for Warehouse Office Clerk (data entry & clerical support) at our Hauppauge, NY location to join our Operations Team. A branch Warehouse Office associate provides clerical and data entry support to operations.
Responsibilities
- Enter and process receivers, shipments, work orders, inventory transfers, inventory modifications, and customer returns in computer system.
- Review and proofread reports and system documents for accuracy.
- Research material usage to reconcile systems inventory discrepancies.
- Work with various departments to resolve inventory issues.
- Print inventory tags and prepare paperwork for shipments.
- Match and file bills of lading, packing slips, work orders, and certifications.
- Assist internal and external customers with questions and expedite orders.
- Track and report truck mileage and weights.
- Review weekly activity reports and take necessary action.
- Scan, coordinate, and file paperwork.
- Assist with special projects and performing additional tasks as directed by supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Experience directly related to the duties of the position strongly preferred.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Organized, detail-oriented, analytical, and strong problem-solving skills
