Job Description
We are seeking a WarehouseManager for our client who offers a wide range of ink, sublimation & direct print products located in Louisville, KY. This role is responsible for the overall warehousing operations and performance of our Louisville (LVL) location. Provides guidance to reports on all aspects of their career through active coaching, development planning, frequent feedback, and performance management programs.
Job Duties and Expectations:
- Demonstrates and supports all safety procedures.
- Leads the Warehouse department in a fast paced, deadline driven environment that emphasizes safety, efficiency, and quality across multiple sites.
- Develops, leads, and implements tactical and strategic objectives supporting goals, budget, and customer service initiatives.
- Troubleshoot workflow or operational issues and take corrective action to ensure standards, budgets, and customer service levels are met.
- Supports inventory management and identifying root causes, analysis of correction opportunities, and implementing corrective actions.
- Develops best practices and performance standards to drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Provide leadership and maintain a department-wide positive team environment.
- Leverage data and resources to identify operational opportunities and develop improvement methods and procedures.
- Ensure effective cross-functional communication occurs to resolve issues and accomplish goals.
- Modifies and communicates shifts in plans, goals, actions, staffing, operations, or priorities to deal with changing situations and acts as a change agent.
- Provides leadership and seeks out developmental opportunities for direct reports in regard to training, performance management, employee motivation, and leadership skills.
- Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with current and future business partners.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and best practices including those related to health and safety.
Requirements
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.
- Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience managing others in a high-volume warehousing environment.
- OSHA and Safety training.
- ERP and WM experience, preferably Epicor or Business Central (SAP or equivalent).
- PIT train-the-trainer certified.
- Must be a self-starter and be able to successfully execute initiatives with minimal guidance and accomplish stated goals.
- Proven success leading and motivating employees through consistent, effective, and fair methods.
- Success in training, developing, and providing direction to staff.
- Demonstrated strategic decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships at various levels and influence decisions.
- Additional Inventory, Production, Operations experience highly preferred.
- Lean Methodology training and/or certification (Six Sigma, etc.) highly preferred.
- HACCP certified, preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Significant walking, bending, standing.
- Physical activities including but not limited to reaching, pulling, pushing, gripping, grabbing, and must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Travel between local sites, as needed.
