SalaryThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for storage, inventory, and distribution of in-process and/or finished goods and materials. Duties include but are not limited to:
1. Oversees the storage, inventory, and distribution of in-process and finished goods and materials.
2. Directs traffic and shipping operations.
3. Develops and initiates methods and procedures for testing of company products or services.
4. Responsible for overall operating costs and budget, methods and procedures, and efficiency.
5. Establish acceptable standards of performance, measure results, analyze workflow, and troubleshoot problems.
6. Supervise and coordinate activities of employees concerned with storing, inventory, issuing and shipping materials, supplies, tools, and equipment in warehouse.
7. Develop and maintain transportation procedures to maximize delivery efficiency.
8. Follow up on any issues regarding freight claims, UPS and truck. Also file appropriate paperwork.
9. This is a hands on position that will require time on the warehouse floor working as needed.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of warehouse distribution operations and best practices. Minimum of 10 years of warehouse and employee management experience desired.
- Proficient in transportation management systems for efficient logistics planning.
- Experience with ERP Systems.
- Excellent supervisory skills to lead a team effectively.
- Ability to procure supplies and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Strong problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise in the warehouse.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills to manage inventory accurately.
