SalaryThe Deli Source, a division of Lipari Foods, is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Warehouse/ Shipping & Receiving Manager- Perishable Foods to oversee all aspects of our logistics operations within our cheese processing facility in Kenosha, WI. Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is responsible for managing the receipt and shipment of cheese products, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead the Shipping and Receiving team, providing guidance and support
- Oversee the cross-dock loading and unloading of cheese products and related materials, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate inventory records for all raw materials, finished goods, packaging materials, and supplies
- Conduct regular cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies promptly
- Ensure timely order picking, packing, and shipping of cheese products to meet customer demands
- Coordinate with production and sales teams to prioritize shipments and resolve any issues
- Work closely with third-party carriers and Logistics Team to schedule pickups and deliveries
- Ensure the expedient turnaround of inbound and outbound loads
- Implement and enforce food safety and quality control procedures for Shipping and Receiving
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with product handling and storage standards
- Maintain accurate Shipping and Receiving records, including bills of lading, pick tickets, packing lists and delivery receipts
- Generate reports on Shipping and Receiving performance, inventory levels, and operational KPIs
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Shipping and Receiving management within the food industry, with a focus on perishable products
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control standards
- Proficiency in inventory management software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Forklift certification and knowledge of material handling equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic food processing environment
