Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for the receipt and coordination of goods coming through the warehouse, managing a team of warehouse workers, and assisting the Warehouse Manager in the day to day operations of the warehouse department.
Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Accountable for supervisory functions of the shift/department assigned
- Coach and lead the Warehouse team to increase productivity and provide high-quality customer service
- Ensure quality standards and productivity standards are achieved with safety being a priority
- Track productivity to meet company’s requirements and maximizes operational efficiency
- Assist with various transportation/warehouse duties related to DOT regulations, OSHA, fleet operations, and scheduling
- Ensure completion and proper execution of work procedures
- Other projects or duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
- Associate's Degree with 3+ years of related experience and 0-1+ years of supervisory experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of related experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience
- Excellent problem-solving and verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated business and financial acumen
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate business needs, think proactively and respond appropriately
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be able to pass a post-offer background and drug test
Preferred Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Knowledge of computer software and warehouse management systems
- Experience working in the beverage industry
