We are looking for a Warehouse Manager to help bring our mission and values to life in our warehouse at TLE Headquarters.  This position will report to the Director of Operations and contribute to the successful management and execution of all warehouse activities.  Applying to work at Tender Loving Empire is a choice to support hundreds of makers, musicians and small businesses.

Requirements: 

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Minimum of three years experience working in a retail warehouse or related industry.
• Minimum of two years working in a leadership or management position, directly supervising a team of at least five employees.

Job Summary

This position is responsible for overseeing internal operations of the warehouse to ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule. Duties include managing Warehouse Associates, training new employees, tracking all product inventory, sourcing and fulfilling supply needs, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards.  

Essential Duties

1. Completes various management, organization, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse’s receiving, transporting, storage and shipment processes. 
2. Manages and leads warehouse associates and courier, monitoring work and ensuring the completion of all duties and tasks in a timeline manner. 
3. Establishes warehouse systems, procedures, and standards to achieve efficient warehouse operations and support cross-departmental collaboration.

Job Duties

1. Sets warehouse team productivity goals in collaboration with the Director of Operations and other department leaders. 
2. Directs transfers and shipments, and resolves logistical challenges by communicating with cross-departmental leaders, vendors, suppliers, and drivers. 
3. Works with the team to ensure all website and 3rd party orders are fulfilled correctly and shipped on time.
4. Determines standards for quality control and ensures inventory and packaging meet standards before they are transferred or shipped.  
5. Strategizes inventory volumes and warehouse capacity to maximize productivity, organization, and improved efficiency while allowing for the safe navigation through the space. 
6. Monitors workplace performance and leads training initiatives to improve employees performance.  
7. Hires, onboards, and trains new warehouse employees according to current warehouse standards and protocols while meeting a set labor budget. 
8. Audits, reports, and manages inventory levels on shipping and cleaning supplies for store outlets and HeadQuarters, and fulfills outlet orders as needed.  
9. Works with other department leaders to support the product needs of all internal and external partners.
10. Maintains HQ building by scheduling maintenance services and suggesting general improvements or changes to the building. 

Physical Demands & Work Environment

1. The employee may be exposed to weather based heat and humidity.   
2. While performing the duties of this job the employee must frequently lift up to 25 pounds and must occasionally lift and or move up to 50 pounds.  
3. The employee is also regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers to work with products, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arm.
