Job Description
Purpose of Position:
Verifies physical and System inventory are accurate to assure product is available for distribution utilizing FIFO procedures. Supervises loading of trucks to ensure orders are fulfilled correctly and in a timely manner. Coordinate segregation of the product into the warehouse to ensure preferred customers receive proper product. Prepare Month-End reports as set forth by the Regional Finance Group.
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the overall accuracy of the weekly inventory both physical and in the Produce Pro system.
- Directly supervises Port and Asst Port Coordinators to assure product availability throughout the week including Produce Pro inventory accuracy to physical counts, coordinating weekly inventory projections and FIFO distribution.
- Maintain warehouse KPI production spreadsheets.
- Works with Product Coordination, Regional Sales and Transportation teams to fill orders and make necessary changes based on availably and in stock inventory.
- Supervision of the warehouse facility which includes but is not limited to employee and food safety, waste management, and supervision of the refrigeration system maintenance.
- Verify Stevedore log of man hours worked for Port operations daily to assist in tracking invoices.
- Verify Daily Sales Orders with Stevedore representatives to assist in ordering adequate amount of labor.
- Provide month-end reports to Regional Finance Group as required. This includes verifying physical counts are completed and generating reports via Produce Pro.
Minimum Skills Required:
- 4-year degree in a related field, from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years previous experience working in a multi-product food environment.
- 5+ years previous management or supervisory experience.
- Experience in maritime related fields and knowledge of Vessel operations.
- Experience in warehouse/ Loading dock management.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Solid background in scheduling cost control, process management, inventory control, quality assurance and food safety.
- Must be able to work in a wet, cold (<40 degrees) environment for extended periods of time (8+ hours).
