Warehouse Lead

Job Description:
Perfect Picket Fence and Stain is seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Lead to manage and maintain our warehouse operations. The Warehouse Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations for our installation team, handling a variety of tasks including material loading and unloading, inventory management, and fabrication of fencing materials. This position requires strong
attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work early morning shifts independently.

Detailed Job Responsibilities:
● Unload trucks and material trailers from the previous day's activities, ensuring all tools are organized and accounted for.
● Remove trash and debris from trucks.
● Conduct visual inventory of stock fasteners and replenish as needed.
● Load material trailer with required materials and job-specific tools based on the Fence Installation Crew Sheet.
● Operate forklift for loading materials (forklift certification preferred).
● Securely strap the trailer to prepare for safe transport.
● Conduct material inventory, including fasteners and concrete, and update quantities in inventory software.
● Receive material deliveries weekly, verify accuracy, and store materials appropriately.
● Update inventory in the software after storing new materials.
● Fabricate stock and custom-sized chain link fence gates, metal gate frames, and specific jigs.
● Cut specific wood materials as per job requirements.
● Keep the warehouse organized and tidy.
● Verbalize warehouse organization suggestions to improve safety and efficiency of work.

Skills and Abilities:

● Strong organizational and time management skills.
● Attention to detail for inventory and tool management.
● Proficient in operating a forklift (certification preferred).
● Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving heavy items.
● Competent in using software for inventory management via phone.
● Welding skills are preferred.
● Ability to fabricate and modify steel fencing materials.
● Basic woodworking skills (use of table saw, miter saw, drill, tape measure).

Job Requirements:
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Be extremely reliable and time-oriented.
● Ability to work alone with minimal direct supervision and oversight.
● Experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
● Forklift certification is desired but not required upon hiring.
● Ability to work from 4 am to 8 am or 4 am to 12 pm. Monday through Friday.
● Physical ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
● Welding experience is preferred but can be trained if inexperienced.

Compensation:
Hourly Pay:
● The pay range for the position of Warehouse Lead is $19-$22 per hour.
