Warehouse Distribution Manager/Cdl Driver

Established in 1974, Chart Distribution Group is a small, family-owned wholesale bulk oil distribution business in North St. Louis County (Berkeley/Hazelwood area). We are looking for a proactive, team-oriented Warehouse Manager (with CDL B license) to oversee shipping (routing of orders for delivery trucks), receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. Specific duties for this hands-on position include, but are not limited to, supervision of warehouse personnel and drivers, scheduling routes, pulling orders, loading/unloading trucks, receiving shipments from vendors, and managing DOT paperwork, files, and log books. Familiarity with the FMCSA Portal/Clearinghouse is also a must.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse in compliance with our Company’s policies and vision
• Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Liaise with suppliers and transport companies

Skills

• Proven work experience as a warehouse manager
• Leadership skills and ability to manage staff while working in a team environment
• Strong decision making and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills

Must have a CLEAN MVR, current DOT Physical Card, a respectable appearance, superb customer service skills, AND be able to pass a DOT drug screen and background check. Must also be proficient in DOT regulations & requirements (paperwork, log books, DOT Driver Qualification Files, etc.) and be registered with the FMCSA Clearinghouse and be eligible to drive. Class B CDL required, to be able to fill in as a driver on an emergency basis. Tanker endorsement/experience a definite plus.
