Responsibilities
- Carries out all responsibilities in an honest, ethical and professional manner
- Must be able to follow all IMS Safety Rules
- Has knowledge of the material, material location, and processing capabilities.
- Able to safely locate and identify material using the appropriate material handling equipment. (I.e. Forklift, side-loaders, etc.…)
- Verify size with the use of calipers, tape measure and color-coding system
- Knows the significance of a “Heat” and “Lot” Number and the proper way to handle and identify with a stocking tag.
- Counts materials on-site and enters them into the Cycle Counter report.
- Identifies discrepancies between the inventory listing and actual quantities in stock and corrects inventory list as necessary
- Identifies causes of inventory discrepancies and corrects them
- Verifies material locations and may make changes in the IMS business system (where applicable)
- As needed, assists other personnel in locating material
- May assist in locating material to fill backorders
- Able to do basic training of new employees using IMS procedures when needed
- Able to interact and communicate with customers and fellow employees in a friendly and professional manner
- Must be able to navigate thru the IMS business system to identify committed material as being “filled” or “not filled”
- Able to communicate, document and report any inventory discrepancies including damaged material and material placed in the wrong location to the warehouse floor supervisor, warehouse manager or immediate supervisor
- Able to identify and report to management material placed in the wrong location or damaged materials and Identify and remove obsolete material from inventory
- Immediately report any unsafe conditions to the Floor Supervisor or Warehouse Manager
