Salary: $22.00-$26.00/hr.

Position Summary: The Inventory Cycle Counter is responsible for the accuracy of the inventories, by conducting daily cycle counts. Responsible for ensuring the physical inventory matches the system inventory to the lot number. Additionally, responsible for identifying and reviewing inventory discrepancies. Works closely with Quality Control, Receiving, and the Repack Department for the resolution of inventory discrepancies.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.

• Print count sheets and perform cycle counts daily.

• Input daily counts into warehouse management systems (WMS).

• Investigate root cause of finished goods inventory discrepancies/variances, propose corrective actions and communicate to the team.

• Notify the Customer Account Representatives of any system inventory discrepancies.

• Generate and distribute finished goods inventory count sheets.

• Follow inventory control standard operating procedures (SOP) and assist warehouse in resolving inventory discrepancies.

• Coordinate with forklift operators to reconcile job allocations, cycle counts, shipments and receipts.

• Identify non-conformance items and communicate to appropriate personnel.

• Attend weekly customer meetings regarding inventory discrepancies.

• Coordinate and schedule quarterly and annual physical audits and inventories.

• Assist customers onsite during physical quarterly and annual audits.

• Finalize and complete official documentation following physical inventories.

• Monitor and communicate short coded or expired product to customer.

• Inspect product for evidence of tampering or damage.

• Create and update spreadsheets to track and monitor damages.

• Complete daily updates in the warehouse management systems to ensure integrity of inventory data.

• Perform full audits on specific batches or lots as needed.

• Communicate training needs of warehouse staff to management.

• Initiate Certificates of Destructions for non-conformance items.

• Work with Quality Assurance to place items on hold or release.

• Manage and process Return Material Authorizations (RMA’s), including researching and completing the return in the WMS, verify items/lots, and processes the correct count back into inventory. Additionally, if any discrepancies are discovered in the RMA process, the discrepancy is communicated to the customer.

• Responsible for designated customer inventory, including inventory data integrity, arranges with customer when quarterly and annual audits are conducted, and communicates directly with customer.

• Prepare and publish Inventory related reports weekly and/or monthly, inclusive of monitoring program progress.

• Responsible for the accuracy of the physical inventory to the correct lot number to correspond with those lots that are in ILS, SAP and/or WMS.

• Notify the customers of any discrepancies between what was counted vs. the current inventory system.

• Conduct cycle counts of all Finished Goods stored at the warehouse as scheduled by the Warehouse Manager

• Work with lift truck operators in reconciling cycle counts, shipments, and receipts.

• Coordinates with customer the annual End of Year (EOY) inventory count, including preparing and distributing count sheets, working side-by-side with customer throughout the audit, researches any discrepancies, and adjustments are made in WMS after agreed to by customer, as well as ensuring the final inventory documents are signed by customer .

• Maintain Key Performance Indicator metrics.

• Safely operate forklift.

• General

• Must be a quick learner and self-starter, with the ability to perform tasks with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Basic knowledge of office equipment such as fax machine, copier/scanner, telephones, and computer.


Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• 3-5 years inventory or warehouse experience preferred.

• Forklift certification required.

• Or equivalent combination of education and experience.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.


Work Environment: In the office, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. While in the warehouse the employee may be exposed to moving vehicles, loud noise, and cold/hot temperatures.
