Position Title: Warehouse Cycle Counter

Division: PDU Cables EPCO All Divisions

Location: MN Iowa

Shift: am pm

Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor

Exempt / Non-Exempt: Hourly Non-Exempt

The Warehouse Cycle Counter is primarily responsible for daily cycle counting of the company's entire inventory and overseeing related cycle counting processes.

• Run reports from the company ERP system (Daily Cycle Count Report).
• Perform cycle counts and compare the data to the system reports.
• Reconcile discrepancies/inaccuracies.
  • Verify adjustments with the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Posts results of the cycle count in the ERP.
• Work with the Material Handlers and Production on material scrap.
• Perform weekly bin location audits.
• Complete data entry for month-end numbers.
• Backup staff absent as needed.
• Perform annual cycle counts with stocking agents.
• Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS:

• Requires a working knowledge of ERP systems and the ability to learn the company's computer systems at a skill level that allows the employee to perform current job duties in a highly functioning manner.
• Requires knowledge of standard inventory management practices.
• Requires the ability to effectively use basic computer software systems, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
• Requires the ability to safely and effectively operate industrial equipment including, but not limited to, a forklift and pallet jack.
• Requires the ability to assess a situation, draw a valid conclusion, and make sound recommendations and decisions.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75lbs on an inconsistent basis.
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach, lift, push, pull, and move about the facility.
• Ability to safely and effectively operate industrial equipment, including a forklift and/or pallet jack.
  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2-5 years of experience working as a Cycle Counter or similar position.
• Requires a minimum of (36) months of forklift driving experience. Must be able to be certified to drive a forklift in accordance with required safety standards.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

All positions require the ability to work well with more than one department and individuals in various roles and work well independently to complete the essential functions required.

• WAREHOUSE AND PRODUCTION POSITIONS:
  1. Warehouse and production positions are required to focus on safety as a key priority during the entire workday. Safety procedures must be followed, and safety concerns must be reported. All employees are responsible for making safety their responsibility.
  2. Work will be performed in a warehouse/plant-type environment where temperatures may fluctuate.
  3. Responsibilities may require the performance of duties outside the warehouse, but exposure to severe weather and extreme conditions will be minimal.
  4. Must be able to work in a team environment and perform duties that may require more than one employee's participation to complete the task.
  5. Required to work well independently and with minimal supervision.

OTHER:

• Regular and consistent attendance is required.
• Employees must abide by all company policies. The employee's responsible for staying abreast of policy and procedure changes throughout their employment.
• Employees must always abide by company safety procedures to maintain a safe and hazard-free work environment.
• Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn while performing job duties requiring PPE. This includes PPE related to protecting employees against COVID-19.
