Reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager, this position is primarily responsible for maintaining a neat and orderly warehouse/shop area, as well as providing tool and materials distribution and procurement of materials from local vendors. Additional duties include vehicle maintenance and inventory and acts as support for the Logistics Coordinator position during lunch breaks and as needed.

Tool & Material Distribution & Inventory
· Obtains the refurbishment list by floor plan, comparing standing counts with unit counts. Pulls materials from the warehouse and documents items removed.
· Delivers materials to campus job sites as needed. Turns in refurbishment material form to the Purchasing Supervisor.
· Organizes tools & equipment in the warehouse and ensures shelves are neat and materials or tools are safely secured and stored.
· Checks all batteries in power tools to ensure they are charged, cleaned and operational.
· Makes trips to local vendors to price and purchase small materials or hand tools, as directed by the Purchasing Manager and/or other Plant Operations department heads as needed.
· Compiles lists of materials needed and ensures all needs are accounted for with accurate measurements and specifications. Identifies appropriate substitution for materials when necessary.
· Receives daily shipments and deliveries from vendors and checks packing slip, counts and verifies all materials are present. Signs the packing slips and sends to the Purchasing Manager.
· Stocks all deliveries in their appropriate place within the warehouse. Marks materials delivered off the needs list as they come in and notifies the Purchasing Manager of issues with shipments or deliveries.
· Conducts tool inventory as directed and notifies the Purchasing Manager of changes. Conducts a visual check and notes materials, tools, etc. that need to be ordered or that can be picked up from a local vendor.
Vehicle Maintenance - Provides routine vehicle maintenance of cars and golf carts of the Physical Plant and provides inventory counts and needs for materials and other areas to the Purchasing Manager.
· Cleans all vehicles, ensuring all areas are free from debris and all fluids are topped off.
· Maintains and ensures current inspections for all Physical Plant vehicles and notifies the Purchasing Manager of issues.
· Completes assigned work orders for all vehicles once a week to provide routine maintenance, cleaning and fueling.
· Power washes cars once a week.
Additional Responsibilities
· Responds to maintenance and emergency situations including weather-related conditions which may include plowing, shoveling, sanding/salting, or other emergency situations requiring staffing support to meet determined service level needs of the community. All other duties as assigned to meet the service level needs of the community.
