BRIEF DESCRIPTION: The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for the daily operations of the Alaska Geographic (AK Geo) Denali National Park and Preserve warehouse including supporting retail tasks in accordance with Alaska Geographic policies and procedures. Duties include; shipping, receiving, mail orders, branch transfers, customer service, PO confirmation and tracking. This position is located at the Alaska Geographic warehouse in Denali National Park and Preserve. The Warehouse Coordinator reports to the Branch Manager. Housing is available at a low fee deducted from the employee's paycheck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Work with the Alaska Geographic Retail team to receive, process and transfer sales products.
- Follow proper Alaska Geographic procedures, consult with Denali’s Branch Manager and the Regional Operation Managers as appropriate, and tracking product information through inventory management (Shopventory/Thrive) system.
- Provide exceptional customer service both internally (other AK Geo staff and frontline teams) and externally (Partners and retail customers).
- Optimize space allocated to Alaska Geographic warehouse.
- Alaska Geographic employees must follow HR policies, guidelines, and procedures as stated in the Employee Manual and Retail Training Manual.
- Assist the Sales Rep(s) with operations in the Park Store when needed.
- Ensure adequate backstock is available in the Park Store.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, ABILITIES, OR KNOWLEDGE:
- Proactively problem solve quickly and implement solutions.
- Two years’ experience in retail and/or warehouse operations.
- Working knowledge of computers, POS systems, Word and Excel. Shopventory/Thrive system knowledge a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal/written. Retain and accurately pass on information to employees and customers.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Independently travel to all facilities in the organization.
- Lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds to a shelf height of 5 feet also, this position involves lifting and moving heavy boxes that may exceed 50 lbs.
MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Degree or equivalent required.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND SAFETY HAZARDS:
- Will be faced with the need to proactively prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Occasional overtime may be required throughout the year.
- Occasional travel may be required.
